The Hotel Saint John Perse is a typical white colonial style building with wrought iron balconies, opposite the cruise ship quay and close to the embarkation point for other islands around Guadeloupe. The 45 air conditioned guestrooms have views of the harbour and are simply decorated with patterned fabrics and bright modern art prints. All satellite television, direct dial phones and safes.
Guests can start the day with buffet breakfast, served each morning. Multilingual staff on the 24 hour front desk can guard valuables in the safe deposit box, and organise wake up calls, laundry and business services. The three floors of the hotel are serviced by an elevator. Visitors will find various restaurants near the hotel, serving Creole specialities and fresh fish dishes. The hotel is within 500 metres of the town's shopping district and local markets, as well as the Saint John Perse Museum, dedicated to the poet and namesake of the hotel. Further afield, Le Gosier is five kilometres away and Deshaies is 30 kilometres away. Point a Pitre Airport is a distance of seven kilometres (four miles), 15 minutes from the hotel. The best way to get between the airport and the hotel is by taxi or private car. Taxis can be found at the exit of the airport.
Shuttle Package:
The Shuttle Package includes a return boat journey for two to Les Saintes Island or to Marie Galante.
