Location. MacArthur Place is a 64 guestroom resort and spa located in Sonoma County, Calif., famous for its wineries and scenic countryside. The inn exists on a former historic estate built in the 1850s and includes seven acres of gardens, majestic old trees, and historic architecture. Popular sites in the area are the Ravenswood Winery, within two miles, and the Buena Vista Winery within three miles. The historic Sonoma Plaza District, featuring the Mission San Francisco Solano, is less than four blocks from the inn. Hiking and horseback riding is available at the Jack London State Historic Park, within 10 miles. Hotel Features. The inn's award winning restaurant, Saddles, is a premier steakhouse named among the best restaurants in Sonoma. The inn serves a house baked continental breakfast on the veranda and a nightly wine and cheese reception in the library. Located in the center of the inn's garden is a full service spa surrounded by heated outdoor pool, whirlpool, and fitness room.
Guestrooms. Each of the guestrooms and suites are individually designed with rustic furnishings,down comforters, custom linens and original artwork. Guestrooms also feature cable television, coffee/tea maker and turndown service. Additionally, the inn's 29 newest suites feature fireplaces, hydrotherapy tubs or rain showers, wet bars, flat screen televisions, and DVD players with six speaker surround sound.
